Appliqué

Applique is descended from the broderie perse technique. Small calico prints are used instead of bold prints. Solid cotton, batiks, wool felt and velvet can also be used. Appliqué templates are basic shapes that can be found anywhere or printed from a computer. Add a 1/4" seam allowance for tucking or use the fusible technique.
