Window Quilts

My window quilts were inspired by the Dust Bowl era when women hung quilts in their windows and used flour paste around the sashing to keep the dust out. Window quilts are custom made to hang inside or outside of a window frame. They are much more interesting than drapes. At night, they glow with a stained glass effect. The picture or pattern that you see inside your home can be seen outside at night when the inside lights are on. During the day, only the backing fabric can be seen. They are not see-through, but they do let in filtered sunlight, absorb heat and block cold.
