My favorite false lashes have a soft band and a natural look, but they're only available in black with a black band. My natural lash color is actually mouse gray while my brows are deep blonde or ash blonde with golden highlights. I also like to wear colored mascara. I like the idea of magnetic lashes, but I don't like how hard they are to apply. Now, we have magnetic liquid eyeliner, but it's only available in black. Not everyone looks good in black and I'm tired of trying to fit into a makeup mold. I found two good DIY videos that I intend to follow with my own adjustments.
Standard Tweezers
Commercial false lashes and plastic card to use as a guide
Before starting either project, you need to measure your eyelid length and that can be pretty difficult. I thought peel off eyeliner would make this easier.
False Lashes Using Lash Extensions or Hair Clippings
Ruler
Sharpie
Follow the video below, but use individual lash extensions instead of pre-made clusters. Using the ruler and a sharpie, draw a straight line on the tape to keep the hairs lined up.
False Lashes Using Hair Extensions or Silk Roving
Silk Roving: Can be dyed with fiber reactive dye.
Nylon Extension Thread (blonde, brown/auburn, light brown, dark brown, black)
Nylon Thread (rose red, red, wine red, pink, orange 1, orange 2, black, charcoal, ash gray, neutral gray, silver gray, dark brown, coffee, light coffee, khaki, beige, ivory, white, evergreen, green, fluorescent green, olive green, yellow, blue, purple)
Thread can match your skin tone, hair or eyeliner. Be creative and have fun.
Follow the video below using hair extensions or silk strands.
Lash Extension Perm Kit: For permanently curling false lashes. Please do not perm your own lashes or extensions at home.
When you've made your lashes, curl them with a curling iron set to low for silk or synthetic, or high for human hair. After curling, use the above perm kit to make it permanent. If you're using silk roving, dye them after perming.
Fiber Reactive Silk Dye: For permanently coloring silk fibers.
False Eyelash Magnets: Make your lashes magnetic.
Hold a magnet with tweezers. Place a tiny amount of super glue onto the magnet. Adhere one end of the lash to the glue. Hold in place until the glue is completely dried. Carefully remove the tweezers. They may stick. Repeat with the other end. Now, do the same with the middle of the lash. Repeat with the other lash.
Iron Powder to make magnetic liquid or gel pot eyeliner.
Remove the stopper from the eyeliner tube with a nail file. Roll up a small piece of paper to use as a funnel. Sprinkle a pinch of iron powder into the tube. Tap the tube on a hard surface. Remove the paper funnel. Use the eyeliner wand to stir until it is evenly distributed. Remove the wand and replace the stopper. Insert the wand and screw on.
Transfer gel eyeliner from the pot into a glass beaker and gently heat with a candle warmer. Stir in a pinch of iron powder and pour back into pot.
As I know, most bloggers deal with different topics. But only some bloggers try to go beyond the limits of blogging, stand upon the brim or creative writing and come up with excellent pieces of writing. This blog belongs to the second type, cheers! Eyelash Extensions
